The range on offer at the Expovina this year is bigger than ever before. The exhibition area has been slightly extended and wine connoisseurs can now enjoy tasting wines from all over the world at 170 stands. At this year’s Zurich wine exhibition a world premiere will be introduced, a drink based on wine, which has been developed by the Vaud wine producers Jean et Pierre Testuz SA in cooperation with Edelweiss Air.

On the opening day of the Expovina, a special show by the Swiss Wine Promotion will be hosted on the “Panta Rhei”. Sixty top winners from vineyards all over Switzerland will be presenting their best vines there. On the top deck of the “Limmat”, for the whole period of the exhibition, the winners of the “Major Gold” and the winners in each category of the international wine awards Zurich 2008 will be exhibited.

The wine forum offers an opportunity for visitors to expand their knowledge of wines, to new encounters with the great wines and wine personalities. The themes are varied: they range from Austrian specialities to the unknown wine country of Brazil, from the Walliser Sternstunde to the top wines from Italy and to the first wine casino.
