ZUERICH-NEWS

At the beginning of March, Swiss Television turned a performance of Mozart’s ”The Magic Flute“ into a multi-media event. Simultaneously, the production at the Zurich Opera House, both in front of and behind the scenes, was broadcast on SF1 und on SFzwei.
Now the television channel intends to transform Zurich Main Station into a resounding cultural experience with a performance of Verdi’s “La Traviata“.
The opera production will be staged live on Tuesday, 30 September 2008, at various locations throughout the main station during the main commuter times. The individual scenes will then be shown on a large screen as a whole.
SF is hosting the cultural project together with the cultural channel, Arte, the SBB and the Zurich Opera House. Sandra Studer will present the live programme, which will be simultaneously broadcast on SF1, TSI, HD suisse and Arte.
