"World’s best quality of living“ is the designation that is currently given to the city of Zurich by the Quality of Living Survey 2007. The renowned consulting company, W.M. Mercer, ranked Zurich ahead of Vienna and Vancouver based on 39 criteria including leisure, recreation, safety, cleanliness, political and economic stability, and medical provision. A total of 215 cities throughout the world were evaluated in the study.

The results of the study confer the title of “city with the world’s best quality of life“ for 2008 on Zurich for the seventh time in a row. Zurich’s own residents and its guests appreciate the city above all for its cultural and gastronomic variety, as well as the numerous and varied possibilities it offers to please your senses through entertainment, recreation or relaxation.
